For oily hair
If you’re lucky enough to live near the coast and your seawater is clean and clear, head to the beach, get a bucketful of the clearest seawater you can, put your head in the water and massage your hair. Seawater can eliminate dandruff, plus the plankton and minerals it contains help balance the scalp and make it more active. However, if your hair is dry, dull and fragile, seawater is best avoided.
Mix 50g field horsetail, 50g birch and 50g thyme, place in a pan, add ¾ of a litre of water and gently boil for 20 mins. Then let it infuse and cool for 20 mins and filter. After shampooing, apply this lotion to your scalp.
For dry hair
Mix the same quantity of sweet almond, palm, olive and castor oil. Apply the mixture all over your hair and leave in for at least 2 hours before washing normally.Mayonnaise mask
Mix 2 tablespoonfuls of mayonnaise and the juice of a fresh lemon, apply to the lengths of your hair for 20 mins and shampoo.
