At last the patience is over and ‘The Matrix Reloaded’ is back for ‘The Matrix’ fans with more powerful, stunning and eye-catching animations and special effects. This time the fighting sequences are more prolonged with excellent special effects which are almost too real to be. You may not like the story line of it but you simply can’t ignore what it offers.
After getting disappointed from copying their techniques of bullet-time photography from ‘The Matrix’ which were re-produced in ‘Shrek’ and ‘Charlie’s Angels’ the Wachowski Brothers this time have introduced a new technique which is applied in the movie to show the chasing of cars on the bridge-highway. According to the Wachowski Brothers, this technique would be very difficult and Expensive to copy for other directors! Let’s see how true the statement would be since we don’t have any lack of copy pirates. :
Anyways our heroes from ‘The Matrix’ Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) are trying to bring a strange entity known as the Key-maker (Randal Duk Kim) out of the Matrix, as he is connected in trying to save the last human city, Zion, from eminent destruction.
Since the movie is presented in such a way that a novice would be definitely unable to understand it so here is a brief for those who haven’t seen ‘The Matrix’ yet or are not familiar with the concept of it.
About one hundred or more years ago, the humans lost a war with the machines powered by A.I. (artificial intelligence). To stop the machines as a final attempt, the humans took some steps to eliminate the solar power on which the machines ran. The machines then began growing millions of humans to use as unconscious batteries in order to adapt with this new situation. They also invented an artificial world in which the humans can live out their lives keeping their human minds active. A small number of people once aware of that artificial world around them from ‘The Matrix’ version of 1999, escaped from their pods to set up a secret real city deep under the earth from where they carried on their war against the machines not only from that real world but also inside the artificial matrix.
Now buried deep underground, the machines have eventually discovered its secret location and are burrowing through the layers off the Earth to destroy that last city and the resting members of humanity. Hence it is up to Neo (Keanu Reeves) and his group to find a way to save the last city ‘Zion’ from the prominent destruction. But this is far from the only thing clinging on Neo’s mind; since he started to see nightmares about his fate and the death of his lover Trinity. To make it worse he considers that her death might be his own doing.
Since the defeat of machines at the hands of Neo, Morpheus and their people from the first flick, they are now finding a way to not only put an end to their resistance.
