According to the colorful and impressive trailers of this movie it was supposed to be a romantic suspense thriller but the way it was made was so ridiculous that while there was a weak suspense, the thrill was still absent to make a strong impact on viewer’s mind.
The movie was a remake of Hollywood film ‘Charade’ according to some sources. The story was about a girl (Esha Deol) who flew to Bangkok on urgent basis from India and was shocked to learn that her only uncle who was her guardian as well was got killed. To make the situation worse, the Thai police was after her to retrieve 10 Crore rupees gold robbed by her uncle three years ago from the Reserve bank of India. While the rest of her uncle’s gang, who were now freed from the Indian prison were also after her believing that she has got the money since her uncle his dead and she is the only living relative of him.
The girl then seeks help from her Indian boyfriend (Zayed Khan) who followed her from India to Bangkok, because she didn’t know anything about the money and the involvement of her uncle in robbery. An official in the Indian embassy in Bangkok (Deepak Chopra) also tries to help her in finding the money and saving her from her uncle’s gang people.
Being unsophisticated she realizes after a long time that she has been interacting with people who are not what they pretend to be. So she tries to collect the money carefully to return them to the Indian government safe and soundly. How did she accomplish this task is what this movie is all about.
Lose script, weak story and direction spoiled the movie so badly that there is no excitement, thrill or adventure at all. The suspense was built so loosely that it leaves no impact of intelligence on the user and the end is easy to guess. The villains portrayed in the movie are more cartoons than dangerous villains. Gulshan Grover is totally wasted in the movie in the role of villain.
