Perfect Iftar item for your menu this Ramadan.

Ingredients

  • • 2 cups Mash pulse
  • • 1 teaspoon Mustard seed
  • • 1 tsp Cumin seed (crushed)
  • • 1 tsp Salt
  • • Ginger 2 tsp
  • • 2-3Green chillies
  • For yogurt
  • • 2 cup Yogurt
  • • 1 tsp Sugar
  • • 1/2 tsp Rock salt/Kala namak
  • • 1/2 tsp Cumin seed
  • • Salt to taste
  • For Baghar
  • • Cumin seed
  • • Green chillies
  • • Coriander leaves
  • • Red chilli powder
  • • Ginger
  • • Oil for baghar

Instructions

  1. Boil and grind mash pulse.
  2. In pulse put cumin seed, mustard seed, salt, ginger and chilies mix well.
  3. Heat oil in a wok take mixture in spoon and put in wok, fry baray well and put aside.
  4. Blend yogurt with addition of sugar, rock salt, cumin seed and salt using the Braun Multiquick 5 hand blender.
  5. In a bowl put fried baray and pour blended yogurt over it.
  6. Heat oil add cumin seed, ginger, red chili powder and green chilies stir and give baghar onto dahi baras.
  7. Serve with tamarind chutney.
