Meera to appear in Bhatt’s movie

Indian writer Mahesh Bhatt has signed Meera for his upcoming British-Indian co-production, the name of which is not yet decided.

Film actress Meera confirmed she will be appearing in Mr Bhatt’s new film. She said she would be the first Pakistani actress to perform the lead in any Indian-British co-production.

The actress said that Mr Bhatt told her that he had decided to cast her in the said production after seeing her performance in the film ‘Inteha’.

One of the leading Pakistani film heroines, Meera said that Mr Bhatt told her that he had been wanting to sign her in a different project for the last three years, as her face best suited that project, but now he decided to cast her in the British-Indian co-production. She told that most of the film would be shot in England, however, some part of it would be filmed in India as well.

Ms Meera told that Mr Bhatt would announce this in a formal press conference to be held in Karachi

The actress said that she had accepted the offer from Mr Bhatt and would visit India next year for the first phase of the film. On the other hand, sources at Karachi told that Mr Bhatt and his daughter Puja Bhatt were facing problems in getting their visa for Lahore, where they were supposed to attend at least three big receptions
