Film actress Meera is to star in Adnan Sami’s new music video. The actress told that she had met with Mr Sami on a recent trip to Bombay.
He offered me work in his next video and hopefully I will be working in it,” she said. Part of the video is to be shot in India and the rest abroad. Mr Sami is one of the most popular singers in India.
Meera said she would return to India in a couple of days for shooting of Nazar Kay Samnay, a film written by Mahesh Bhatt and to be directed by Soni Razdan. London-based producer Sev Ali of the Asian Pictures International and Mr Bhatt are the producers of the movie.
Meera said she had enjoyed movie music and script sessions over her recent visit. “I had long and fruitful sessions in Bombay with composer Anu Malik and Mahesh Bhatt and have completed the preliminary session of the film,” she said.
She wished to dedicate her performance in Nazar Kay Samnay to “good relations between India and Pakistan”. The actress found Bollywood filmmakers to be professional and advanced in the technical aspects of moviemaking.
Meera’s co-star in the film is Ashmit Patel, who also starred in the Indian film Murder. She was coy about giving details of her role in the movie, saying she didn’t want to ruin any surprises.
She was pleased by the reception she got from Indian film stars during her stay in Bombay. “I am really impressed by the hospitality of my hosts Mahesh Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt,” she said.
She said her hotel room was full with flowers during her stay. “A lot of Indian film artists came to see me or invited me to their places,” she said. She said Shusmita, Govinda, Sri Devi, Anil Kapoor, Amresh Puri and Jackie Sheroff gave her a lot of love and she had long discussions with them about Asian films and the prospects of co-productions between India and Pakistan.
Meera said Subhash Ghai had also offered her a part in his next film. Mr Bhatt signed Meera for Nazar Kay Samnay last year during his visit to Pakistan. Meera said Mr Bhatt had offered her a role in his film after seeing her performance in Pakistani film Inteha.
