Actor and model Veena Malik is pretty much a household name. The lady shot to fame when she busted the match-fixing scandal involving her ex-beau Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Asif. She says that she had handed over proof of his alleged links with bookies to an official of the ICC’s Anti-Corruption Unit.
Currently working as a televison host for a popular Pakistan news channel, Veena has taken a small break and stepped into the Big Boss den for the new season.
When asked about Asif’s wedding that took place on 30th September, she says, “Yes, I know. I pity him, as I loved him very much and did everything to make him a better person, but failed. I also know that a few officials from the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are rumoured to bekeeping an eye on me, but I am not afraid as I am not hiding anything. In fact, in future if I have any information I shall share with them.”
So when asked if the controversy was like a stepping stone towards Bollywood she says,
“Bollywood is not my cup of tea, though I have a couple of scripts being offered to me. I want go back to my country and help my people. They need me.”
