skin care routineEvery people will clean their face at least twice a day, in the morning and at night. Making sure one’s face is properly cleaned, hair is well combed, and the clothes looks clean and fresh, a person will be confident all day long. Many people are more likely to wash their face quickly and absentmindedly, especially in the morning in case of being late for school or work. Some people do it slowly, or scrub their faces hard until they think their faces are clean.

But there are many things that you should take care while you are washing your face, if you want to obtain the clean and beautiful skin on your face. The main purpose of wash your face is to clean it, to unclog your pores, dissolve dirt and makeup, and remove an excess oils on your skin. By cleaning your face, you can also exfoliate at the same time to remove any dead skin. So, to choose a right type of cleanser for your skin type is important. Remember DO NOT use bar soap on your face for it will really make your skin dry.

Then, it comes to the concrete steps to clean your skins.

First, wash your hands.

This is the most important step at any time before cleansing your face, applying makeup or just touching your face. Don’t touch your face when your hands are dirty if you don’t want the rub bacteria or dirt onto your skin.

Second, use a headband or towel to tie your hair.

It will be more comfortable for you when you wash your face, and it also allows you to see and wash your hair line easily.

Third, remove your makeup with lukewarm water.

Although facial cleansers can remove all kind of makeup effectively, but I think you’d better remove it prior to washing your face. Choose a mild makeup that suites your skin type to remove your facial and eye makeup.

Fourth, wet your face.

Before you clean your face, you have to wet your face completely with lukewarm water to prepare your skin for the cleanser and to open your pores for a deeper cleansing. Don’t use the water too hot or too cold.

Fifth, apply the cleanser.

Squeeze a dime-sized amount of cleanser onto your fingertips and rub them together. Use your fingertips to massage the cleanser into your skin (anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute) in small and gentle circular motions.

One of the best ways to ensure that dirt and makeup are removed is by using a muslin cloth when you rinse. In addition, if you gently scrub in small circles, the cloth also acts as a light exfoliant! Also, don’t forget to rinse your hairline, your neck and the nooks on either side of your nose.

Sixth, rinse your face.

Rinse your face to remove the cleanser. Splash your face with water several times until you feel that the cleanser has rinsed off completely. You can use a face sponge, a muslin cloth or cotton pads to remove the cleansing product.

Step Seven. Splash your face with cold water.

Rinse your face with cold water to close the open pores and to improve your blood circulation, and pat your skin dry with a clean towel.

Last but not least is to give your skin some protection with lotion.
