Sharmeen Chinoy grabs first Oscar Nomination for Pakistan - Rewaj

As expected last year, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy became Pakistan’s first woman Oscar nominee for her documentary, Saving Face. She is a Pakistani journalist, Co-Founder Citizens Archive of Pakistan and documentarian & the first Pakistani to win an Emmy award, which she won for her documentary, Pakistan: Children of the Taliban in 2010. She is also the first non-American to win the Livingston Award for Young Journalists.
