Certain home remedies can be used to clear up pimples under the skin and to prevent new pimples from forming.
Use Oil to Cleanse the Skin
Soaps and cleansers can dry out the skin, which can cause the skin to over-produce oils in order to compensate for the lack of hydration. Instead of using soaps to clean out the pores, use a combination of olive and castor oils. Using oil to cleanse the skin will balance out the oil production in the skin and will help purge the skin of bacteria and impurities. To use these oils, mix 1 teaspoon of each oil in a bowl. Then apply the oils to the skin with the fingers. Massage the oils into the skin for 2 to 3 minutes. This will help the oils bond to the oils and impurities in the skin. Lay a steaming towel onto the skin, which will open up the pores and will flush out the blockages. After the cloth cools, use the towel to wipe away the oils. Repeat up to three times per day.
Apply a Baking Soda Scrub
Baking soda is a highly alkaline substance that both kills bacteria on the skin and buffs off dead skin that can clog the pores. The particulates in baking soda are small and smooth, which will allow the skin to be exfoliated without any damage. Mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with enough water to form a loose paste. Massage the paste onto moistened skin using circular motions. After 1 to 2 minutes, rinse the skin well with warm to cool water. Repeat twice per day.
Tone with Lemon Juice
The skin is naturally acidic, and applying a naturally acidic substance to the skin will help bring the skin back to a normal pH, thereby reducing pimples under the skin naturally. Lemon juice is highly acidic and makes an effective toner on the skin. Fill an empty and clean spray bottle with full strength lemon juice, and spritz the skin after exfoliation. You can allow the skin to dry naturally, or you can rinse the lemon juice off of the skin with water after 5 minutes. Use a lemon juice toner up to two times per day.
