Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, recently teamed up Fashion Pakistan, in presenting “Pakistan’s Most Inspiring Designer” exclusively to a designer who showcased their collection at the 3rd Fashion Pakistan Week.
This year, the title of “Pakistan’s Most Inspiring Designer” has been awarded to Shehla Chatoor, eliminating 27 other designers who showcased at the Fashion Week – based on audience votes and on Etihad Pakistan Facebook Page. Etihad Airways presented two return business class tickets to Europe for the winner of “Pakistan’s Most Inspiring Designer” along with a trophy LIVE at the HUM TV morning show today on April 17th, 2012.
The Fashion Pakistan Week was held at the Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi, from April 07-10, 2012. Fashion Pakistan is the country’s pioneer and largest platform that provides a much-needed boost to its fashion industry. As a part of the Council of International Fashion Designers, it was created to promote and support the industry in the global market place. FPW’s key objective is to educate, empower and encourage designers alongside their efforts to promote traditional crafts.
Shehla Chatoor is associated with luxurious, sophisticated and timeless ensembles for the past seventeen years. The label is primarily known for its exquisite bridals influenced by age old art forms and embroidery techniques. The western collection is truly made for the modern and confident women of today it is extremely luxurious, sexy and daring. The amalgamation of fabrics and textures in a unique way is prominent in her designs.
