Zafrani Pineapple Halwa
Ingredients:
Suji – 1 cup
Crushed pineapple – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 cup
Ghee/Butter – ½ tbsp
Water – 2 cups
Saffron – ½ tsp (dissolve in water)
Cardamom powder – ½ tsp

Halwa pori has developed into a traditional breakfast in Pakistan specially Karachi and Lahore over the years. This delicious yet weird mix of sweet halwa & savory curry with fried pori is awesome and tummy filling. Halwa Poori is eaten at all times, but it is usually a part of breakfast or an early evening meal.
In Karachi this breakfast item is synonymous with Sunday as it is available only at this day of the week because of being the holiday while in Lahore its availability on weekdays is also guaranteed.
